Grim's Ditch

Walk 8: Grimís Ditch. August. Oxfordshire

Grimís Ditch

Walking Diary: For the next five miles I follow the Grimís Ditch, dating back to Iron Age and believed to be a man-made boundary between different territories. A variety of trees from Ashes to Beeches line the track. Mongewell Woods is dark and dense and I can hear deer nearby. I also saw many badger sets , long tailed tits, red kites and a large wasp nest in the ground.
